Using the principles and procedures from Applied Behavior Analysis, Minnesota Mental Health Solutions teaches essential life skills and adaptive behaviors to children with Autism Spectrum Disorder. In-home service
We also deliver our intervention services at home, keeping in mind that parents and families have a great role to contribute toward improving their children’s condition.
Parent coaching
Either in an individual or group coaching setting, we educate the patients’ parents about their involvement in the treatment programs. This is important as most hours of the patient are spent at home and with their families.
Early intervention
Once diagnosed, we encourage parents to seek intervention programs for their children acknowledging that the earlier developmental disorders are acted upon, the better the treatment outcomes are.
School consulting
We help in all aspects of the learners’ academic paths. After implementing specific treatment programs for the student, we also offer to supervise them at school, collaborating with the parents, administrators, and teachers to promote their academic success.
Social skills
One of the very goals of the ABA treatment program is to improve the learners’ communication skills and increase the frequency of their interaction.
Natural environment teaching
Related to in-home, this adheres to the principles of letting the learners learn in their familiar environment using play activities. Informally, they get to develop fundamental life skills incorporated with reinforcements and fun.
Incidental teaching
In the same way as natural environment teaching, incidental teaching is based on play activities but is more focused on the learners’ interest in an object or activity.
Supervision
Behavioral professionals aim for the learner to act the targeted behaviors on their own without having to repeat reinforcements. If not, then they are taught again with those skills as well as new ones.
Telehealth
This allows the family and the patient to receive ABA services in the comfort of their homes.
